From Deborah Curtis’ forword: I was asked to write this booklet by Peter Dickinson, the current curator at Open House after he had seen the passport style pamphlet made for the ‘Copper Jubilee’ exhibition at the New Art Gallery Walsall. He felt I might be able to shed some light on the exhibition ‘Gavin Turk in the House’ for visitors who have not seen Gavin’s work before and who may indeed be unfamiliar with the often confusing world of contemporary art.
