Relation
Craigie Horsfield

The work of British artist Craigie Horsfield is concerned with how people stand in relation to one to another, how relation, constantly in flux, determines community and how the individual and the collective is inextricably bound to relation, rather than alienation or separation.

This volume is the most comprehensive publication on Horsfield’s work to date. It contains drawings from his notebooks, reproductions of his tapestries, and numerous full-page plates of his poignant and haunting photographs, including portraits, still-lifes, landscapes and crowd scenes.

Relation also contains an introduction by Horsfield, descriptions of several of his collaborative social projects, conversations between Horsfield and Carol Armstrong, Serge Guilbaut, and Bracha L. Ettinger, and essays by Armstrong, Slavoj Zizek and David Ebony. All texts are in English and French.
